Emma’s Charity Fundraiser for HOPE

I decided to arrange a fundraising afternoon to raise some money for HOPE. To try and give back a little something to show my appreciation for what HOPE has done for me personally.

After losing my son Harry, in September 2019 I knew my life would never be the same but as time went on things got harder and harder and I found myself struggling and going to places I never thought I would go mentally.

I couldn’t see anyway out and my life was spiralling out of control. I then came across HOPE because I found myself at the point I could not carry on and ended up in hospital. I was then referred to HOPE via the MIND group. I can say HOPE saved my life, I mean it with every word. HOPE gave me ways of dealing with my grief, I stopped being angry and as time went on and the more time I spent with HOPE the more I turned my life around. I want to keep Harry’s memory alive and I know with the continued help from HOPE I am able to do that.

I will never be able to thank everyone at HOPE enough for what they have done for me and my family so in return I wanted to do something to help others and raise as much money for the charity as possible.

At the charity event we had a few small businesses pay for a stall we had a cake and tea/coffee stand and also raffle donations. We had a huge support from local businesses with generous raffle donations. In total we raised £1077.41 and I couldn’t be happier.

I will continue to do all I can to support the charity and once again would like to thank everyone at HOPE for all they do not just for me but for all the families that they help.
